حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، (٢) قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَمُرَةَ، يَخْطُبُ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ الْبَصْرَةِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلْعٍ، وَإِنَّكَ إِنْ تُرِدْ إِقَامَةَ الضِّلْعِ تَكْسِرْهَا، فَدَارِهَا تَعِشْ بِهَا " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Woman has been created from a rib; if you try to straighten the rib, you will break it, so live with her as she is.
