وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ (١) ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ٢٠٠٧٨ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعِ بْنِ عَمِيلَةَ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا تُسَمِّ غُلَامَكَ أَفْلَحَ، وَلَا نَجِيحًا، وَلَا يَسَارًا، وَلَا رَبَاحًا، فَإِنَّكَ إِذَا قُلْتَ: أَثَمَّ هُوَ، أَوْ ثَمَّ فُلَانٌ؟ قَالُوا: لَا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not name your children Aflah, Najeeh (successful), Yasar (ease), and Rabah (profit), because when you call out their names and ask if they are here, people will say, "No, he is not here."
