Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، سَمِعْتُ الْأَعْمَشَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُسْلِمٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّهَا صَوْمُ شَهْرٍ فَمَاتَتْ، أَفَأَصُومُهُ عَنْهَا؟ قَالَ: " لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّكِ دَيْنٌ، أَكُنْتِ قَاضِيَتَهُ؟ " قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: " فَدَيْنُ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُقْضَى " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed women who imitate men and effeminate men, and he said: “Expel them from your houses.” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) expelled So and so, and "Umar expelled So and so.
