Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ: كَانَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ لَا يُفِيضُونَ مِنْ جَمْعٍ حَتَّى تُشْرِقَ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى ثَبِيرٍ، فَخَالَفَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَفَاضَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ (١) .،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that 'Umar bin al-Khattab said:
The mushrikeen used not to move on from Jam' (Muzdalifah) until the sun rose over (the mountain of) Thabeer, The Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ differed from them and moved on before the sun rose.
