Musnad Ahmad Hadith 19393

It is narrated from Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) that I asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), "O Messenger of Allah, we release our trained dogs for hunting?" The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Eat of what they catch for you." I asked, "Even if it kills it?" The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Yes! Provided that other dogs have not joined with it." I asked about the game that dies by the broad side of the arrow, so the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If you kill the game with the sharp edge of the arrow, then you may eat it, but if it is killed by the broad side of the arrow, do not eat it." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
