حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَدِيُّ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَرْمِي الصَّيْدَ، فَأَطْلُبُ أَثَرَهُ بَعْدَ لَيْلَةٍ، فَأَجِدُ فِيهِ سَهْمِي، فَقَالَ: " إِذَا وَجَدْتَ فِيهِ سَهْمَكَ، وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ سَبُعٌ، فَكُلْ " فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِأَبِي بِشْرٍ فَقَالَ: عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَدِيٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنْ وَجَدْتَ فِيهِ سَهْمَكَ، تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ قَتَلَهُ، فَكُلْ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted to the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) that our area is a hunting area. One of us throws an arrow at the game, and the game remains hidden from him for a day or two, then he finds it and his arrow is lodged in its body. What is the ruling about it? The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: If you see your arrow in it and no beast has eaten it, then you may eat it. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
