قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ، (٤) حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ أَبِي مُزَاحِمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو وَكِيعٍ الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَلِيحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ: " مَنْ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ الْقَلِيلَ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ الْكَثِيرَ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ النَّاسَ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَالتَّحَدُّثُ بِنِعْمَةِ اللهِ شُكْرٌ، وَتَرْكُهَا كُفْرٌ،، ، وَالْجَمَاعَةُ رَحْمَةٌ، وَالْفُرْقَةُ عَذَابٌ " (١)، •
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) once said from the pulpit: "Whoever does not thank for a little, does not thank for much either. Whoever does not thank people, does not thank Allah either. To mention Allah's blessings and favors is gratitude; to abandon it is disbelief. Unity is mercy, and division is punishment."
