It is narrated from Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! I cannot memorize even a small portion of the Noble Qur'an, so teach me something that will suffice for me." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Say: Subhan Allah, walhamdulillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah." He said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! This is for Allah, what is there for me?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Say: O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being, guide me, and provide for me." Then that man turned and went away, and he had firmly closed both his hands. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "This person has gone away with his hands filled with goodness."
