Abu Rahm Ghafari (may Allah be pleased with him), who was among the participants of the Pledge of Ridwan, says: I participated in the Battle of Tabuk with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). When the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) departed from Madinah Munawwarah, he began the journey at night. As I was walking, I came close to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). I kept dozing off repeatedly. I tried to stay awake because my mount had come very close to the mount of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), and I was afraid that the foot of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), which was in the stirrup, might get hurt due to my mount coming too close. Therefore, I started to keep my mount behind. In this struggle, sleep overcame me in the middle of the night and I fell asleep. Suddenly, my mount climbed onto the mount of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), and the foot of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), which was in the stirrup, got hurt. But I woke up at that very moment when the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) made me aware. I raised my head and said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Please pray for my forgiveness (this act was not done intentionally by me)." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Pray for yourself." Then the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) began to ask me about those people from Banu Ghifar who did not participate in this expedition. I kept informing the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). Then the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked me, "What happened to those tall, red-complexioned people whose eyebrows are thin?" I informed him about their staying behind. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What happened to those dark-skinned people with curly hair, who also have animals at 'Shaziyah Sharakh'?" I recalled the people with these characteristics among Banu Ghifar, but I could not remember any group. Eventually, I remembered a group from the tribe of Aslam. Then I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I do not know what prevents those who stay behind from at least letting some active man ride one of their camels in the way of Allah? Because, for my family, it is extremely important that they stay behind the Muhajireen of Quraysh, the Ansar, Aslam, and Ghifar." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain. Abu Rahm Ghafari (may Allah be pleased with him), who was among the participants of the Pledge of Ridwan, says: I participated in the Battle of Tabuk with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ)... Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith and said: I started to keep my mount behind. In this struggle, sleep overcame me in the middle of the night and I fell asleep. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What happened to those dark-skinned people with curly hair, who also have animals at 'Shaziyah Sharakh'?" I recalled the people with these characteristics among Banu Ghifar, but I could not remember any group. Eventually, I remembered a group from the tribe of Aslam and I said, "O Messenger of Allah! This is a group from the tribe of Aslam, who were our allies."
