Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَهَا: " إِنَّمَا سُمِّيتِ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِتَسْعَدِي، وَإِنَّهُ لاسْمُكِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُولَدِي " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn "Abbas - in sha Allah - that
the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade breathing into the vessel or blowing into it.
