حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ شَيْخًا بِمَكَّةَ فِي إِمَارَةِ الْحَجَّاجِ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ: " يَا عُمَرُ، إِنَّكَ رَجُلٌ قَوِيٌّ، لَا تُزَاحِمْ عَلَى الْحَجَرِ فَتُؤْذِيَ الضَّعِيفَ، إِنْ وَجَدْتَ خَلْوَةً فَاسْتَلِمْهُ، وَإِلَّا فَاسْتَقْبِلْهُ فَهَلِّلْ (٢) وَكَبِّرْ " (٣) .، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from ʼUmar bin al Khattab رضي الله عنه that the Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ said:
“O ‘Umar, you are a strong man. Do not crowd others to touch the Black Stone, lest you harm the weak. If you find a gap, then touch it, otherwise turn to face it and say Lailaha illallah, and Allahu akbar.`
