حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ رَجُلٌ خَدَمَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قُرِّبَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ قَالَ: " بِسْمِ اللهِ " فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ، ، قَالَ: " اللهُمَّ أَطْعَمْتَ وَأَسْقَيْتَ، وَأَغْنَيْتَ، وَأَقْنَيْتَ، وَهَدَيْتَ، وَاجْتَبَيْتَ، فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى مَا أَعْطَيْتَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from a servant of the Prophet who served the Prophet (peace be upon him) for eight years that whenever food was presented before the Prophet, he (peace be upon him) would begin by saying "Bismillah" and when he finished eating, he would recite this supplication: "O Allah, You have fed and given drink, granted sufficiency and sustenance, You have given guidance and life, praise is due to You for Your bounties."
