Translation

English translation

Narrated to us by al-Walid ibn Muslim, narrated to us by al-Awza'i, narrated to us by al-Zuhri, from al-Tufayl ibn al-Harith, and he was a man from Azd Shanu'ah, and he was a brother of Aisha through her mother Umm Ruman, so he mentioned the hadith. So he sought help against her from al-Miswar ibn Makhrama and Abdur-Rahman ibn al-Aswad ibn Abd Yaghuth, so they sought permission to enter upon her, and she permitted them, so they spoke to her and adjured her by Allah and kinship and the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "It is not lawful for a Muslim man to shun his brother for more than three days."
