Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْبَرَاءِ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ: كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مِمَّا أَحَبَّ أَوْ نُحِبُّ أَنْ نَقُومَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: " رَبِّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَجْمَعُ عِبَادَكَ أَوْ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we used to pray behind the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), we considered it good to stand on the right side of the Prophet (ﷺ), and I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying: O Lord! On the day You gather Your servants, protect me from Your punishment.
