Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ: " نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرٍ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْإِنْسِيَّةِ نَضِيجًا وَنِيئًا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us from eating the meat of domesticated donkeys at the time of the Battle of Khaybar, whether it was raw or cooked.
