Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً رَكِبَتِ الْبَحْرَ، فَنَذَرَتْ: إِنِ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنْجَاهَا أَنْ تَصُومَ شَهْرًا، فَأَنْجَاهَا اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَلَمْ تَصُمْ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ، فَجَاءَتْ قَرَابَةٌ لَهَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: " صُومِي " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Moosa bin Salamah said:
We were with Ibn ‘Abbas in Makkah and I said: When we are with you, we pray four (rak"ahs) and when we go back to our lodgings, we pray two rak"ahs. He said: That is the Sunnah of Abul-Qasim (عليه السلام).
