Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ: " رَمَقْتُ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَوَجَدْتُ قِيَامَهُ، فَرَكْعَتَهُ، فَاعْتِدَالَهُ بَعْدَ الرَّكْعَةِ، فَسَجْدَتَهُ، فَجِلْسَتَهُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ، فَجِلْسَتَهُ بَيْنَ التَّسْلِيمِ وَالِانْصِرَافِ (٢) قَرِيبًا مِنَ السَّوَاءِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that I had the honor of offering prayer with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). I found his standing (qiyam), the pause after bowing (ruku’), prostration (sajdah), the sitting between the two prostrations, the final sitting (qa’dah akheerah), and the interval between turning for salam and returning to be almost equal in duration.
