Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَنِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ، يَخْطُبُ: حَدَّثَنَا الْبَرَاءُ، وَكَانَ غَيْرَ كَذُوبٍ، " أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا صَلَّوْا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ، قَامُوا قِيَامًا حَتَّى يَرَوْهُ قَدْ سَجَدَ، فَيَسْجُدُوا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) would raise his head from bowing (ruku‘), the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would remain standing until the Prophet (ﷺ) went into prostration (sajdah), and then they would go into prostration after him.
