حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، وَالْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ، عَنْ يُسَيْعٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَخْطُبُ، وَيَقُولُ: " إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ هُوَ الْعِبَادَةُ "، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ، {وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمْ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ} (١) [غافر: ٦٠]،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Nu’man (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Supplication is the essence of worship. Then the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) recited this verse: "Call upon Me; I will respond to your call." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
