حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الشَّعْبِيُّ، سَمِعَهُ مِنَ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَكُنْتُ إِذَا سَمِعْتُهُ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ظَنَنْتُ أَنْ (٣) لَا أَسْمَعَ أَحَدًا عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ فِي، ، الْإِنْسَانِ مُضْغَةً، إِذَا سَلِمَتْ وَصَحَّتْ، سَلِمَ سَائِرُ الْجَسَدِ وَصَحَّ، وَإِذَا سَقِمَتْ سَقِمَ سَائِرُ الْجَسَدِ، وَفَسَدَ، أَلَا وَهِيَ الْقَلْبُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saying: "There is a piece of flesh in the human body; if it is sound and healthy, the whole body remains sound and healthy, and if it becomes diseased, the whole body becomes diseased. Behold! That is the heart."
