حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، وَحُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، أَخْبَرَاهُ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ، يَقُولُ: نَحَلَنِي أَبِي غُلَامًا،، ، فَأَتَيْتُ (١) رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، لِأُشْهِدَهُ، فَقَالَ: " أَكُلَّ وَلَدِكَ قَدْ نَحَلْتَ؟ " قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: " فَارْدُدْهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) that his father gave him a gift, then his father went to the service of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) and asked him to bear witness to it. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Have you given all your sons the same as you have given him?" He said, "No." So the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Take it back."
