Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، وَمَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ، عَنْ يُسَيْعٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ،، ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ هُوَ الْعِبَادَةُ "، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: " {ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ، إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي} (١) [غافر: ٦٠] "، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Supplication is the essence of worship. Then the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) recited this verse: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you. Those who are arrogant regarding My worship..."
