حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: اتَّقُوا النَّارَ، وَاعْمَلُوا خَيْرًا، وَافْعَلُوا، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَعْقِلٍ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَدِيَّ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " اتَّقُوا النَّارَ، وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Save yourselves from the fire of Hell, even if it be by giving only a piece of a date."
