حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدَانُ الْجُهَنِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ خَلِيفَةَ الطَّائِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " مَنْ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَتَّقِيَ النَّارَ، وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ، فَبِكَلِمَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever among you can save himself from Hell, even if it be by giving only a piece of date, then he should do so; and if he does not find even that, then he should speak a good word.
