حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ حَيِيٌّ سِتِّيرٌ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ فَلْيَتَوَارَى (٢) بِشَيْءٍ " (٣)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty is very modest and concealing, so when any one of you intends to take a bath, he should cover himself with something.
