Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ الْحَيَاءَ وَالسَّتْرَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty likes modesty and concealment.
