حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْقِلٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ (٢) : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أُمَّ مَعْقِلٍ فَاتَهَا الْحَجُّ مَعَكَ، قَالَ: فَخَرَجَتْ حِينَ فَاتَهَا الْحَجُّ مَعَكَ، قَالَ: " فَلْتَعْتَمِرْ فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّةٍ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! (ﷺ) My father missed Hajj in your company, which has caused him great sorrow." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You should perform Umrah in Ramadan, for performing Umrah in Ramadan is like Hajj."
