حَدَّثَنَا (١) يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ أُمِّ مَعْقِلٍ الْأَسَدِيَّةِ (٢) ، قَالَ: أَرَادَتْ أُمِّي الْحَجَّ وَكَانَ جَمَلُهَا أَعْجَفَ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: " اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّةٍ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) that once my mother intended to perform Hajj, but her camel was very weak. When this matter was mentioned to the Prophet (ﷺ), he said: Perform Umrah in Ramadan, for performing Umrah in Ramadan is like Hajj.
