حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى جَيْشِ ذَاتِ السَّلَاسِلِ، قَالَ: فَأَتَيْتُهُ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ،، ، أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ؟ قَالَ: " عَائِشَةُ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مِنَ الرِّجَالِ؟ قَالَ: " أَبُوهَا إِذًا " (١) قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ: " عُمَرُ " قَالَ: فَعَدَّ رِجَالًا (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) appointed me as the commander over the army of Dhat al-Salasil. I presented myself before the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked, "O Messenger of Allah! (ﷺ) Who is the most beloved to you among the people?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "Aisha." I asked, "Among the men?" He said, "Her father." I asked, "Then who?" He said, "Umar." In this way, the Prophet (ﷺ) mentioned the names of several men.
