Translation

English translation

Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) once, while delivering a sermon in Egypt, said to the people: "How far you have gone from the way of your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? He was extremely disinterested in the world, while you hold the world extremely dear and desirable."
