Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، قَالَ: دَخَلَ الْعَبَّاسُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّا لَنَخْرُجُ فَنَرَى قُرَيْشًا تَحَدَّثُ، فَإِذَا رَأَوْنَا سَكَتُوا، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَدَرَّ عِرْقٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " وَاللهِ، لَا يَدْخُلُ قَلْبَ امْرِئٍ إِيمَانٌ حَتَّى يُحِبَّكُمْ لِلَّهِ، وَلِقَرَابَتِي " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from "Abbas bin "Abdul-Muttalib that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:
“He has tasted faith who is content with Allah as his Lord, Islam as his religion and Muhammad as his Messenger."
