حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى، - وَهَذَا حَدِيثُ عَلِيٍّ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ الْكِنْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَشِيرُوا عَلَى النِّسَاءِ فِي، ، أَنْفُسِهِنَّ "، فَقَالُوا: إِنَّ الْبِكْرَ تَسْتَحِي (١) يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الثَّيِّبُ تُعْرِبُ بِلِسَانِهَا، عَنْ نَفْسِهَا وَالْبِكْرُ رِضَاهَا صَمْتُهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: A previously married woman will express her consent verbally in the case of a second marriage, and the silence of a virgin is her consent. Hadith number 17872 is also narrated through this second chain.
