Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ، عَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَلْ نَفَعْتَ أَبَا طَالِبٍ بِشَيْءٍ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَحُوطُكَ، وَيَغْضَبُ لَكَ، قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، هُوَ فِي ضَحْضَاحٍ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَلَوْلا ذَلِكَ لَكَانَ فِي الدَّرْكِ الْأَسْفَلِ مِنَ النَّارِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that al-"Abbas bin ‘Abdul-Muttalib said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“When the son of Adam prostrates, seven parts prostrate with him: his face, his hands, his knees and his feet."
