حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ أَبَا الْمُثَنَّى المُلَّيْكِي (١) ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُتْبَةَ بْنَ عَبْدٍ السُّلَمِيَّ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْقَتْلُ ثَلَاثَةٌ " فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Yamr ibn Bishr narrated to us, Abdullah narrated to us, Safwan ibn Amr informed us that Abu al-Muthanna al-Mulayki narrated to him that he heard Utbah ibn Abd al-Sulami, who was among the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, narrating from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Killing is of three kinds," and he mentioned its meaning.
