English translation

Yazid bin Zaid, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once in the evening I was heading towards the mosque. On the way, I met Utbah Mazni, may Allah be pleased with him. He asked me, "Where are you going?" I said, "I am going to the mosque." He said, "Receive glad tidings! I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Whoever leaves his house in the morning or evening for the mosque, one of his steps erases a sin and the other raises him one degree."
