حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، حَدَّثَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ،، ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ، قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا يَخِرُّ (١) عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، مِنْ يَوْمِ وُلِدَ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَمُوتُ، هَرَمًا فِي مَرْضَاةِ اللهِ، لَحَقَّرَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Utbah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: If a person is given the opportunity to spend every single moment from the day of his birth until his death in old age in the pleasure of Allah, even then on the Day of Resurrection he will consider it insignificant and trivial.
