حَدِيثُ مَالِكِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ (١) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ١٧٥٩٨ - حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَوْسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَبُو مُقَاتِلٍ السَّلُولِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي بُرَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مَالِكِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ، اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " قَالَ: يَقُولُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ، أَوْ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ: " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ". ثُمَّ قَالَ: وَأَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ مَحْلُوقُ الرَّأْسِ، فَمَا يَسُرُّنِي بِحَلْقِ رَأْسِي حُمْرُ النَّعَمِ أَوْ خِطْرًا عَظِيمًا (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Malik bin Rabi’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while supplicating said: O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), pray for those who shorten their hair as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) again supplicated for those who shave their heads, and on the third or fourth time, he also supplicated for those who shorten their hair. I had shaved my head that day, so I would not have preferred in exchange for it even a red camel or a great amount of wealth.
