Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ وَهُوَ الْخَيَّاطُ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ،، ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَفَلَ الرُّبُعَ بَعْدَ الْخُمُسِ فِي بَدْأَتِهِ، وَنَفَلَ الثُّلُثَ بَعْدَ الْخُمُسِ فِي رَجْعَتِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Habib bin Maslamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) initially gave a quarter as reward after the khums, and upon return, he granted a third as reward from what remained after the khums.
