حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ: " اقْرَءُوا هَاتَيْنِ الْآيَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ (٢) مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ، فَإِنَّ رَبِّي أَعْطَاهُنَّ أَوْأَعْطَانِيهِنَّ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعَرْشِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: Recite the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, for these two verses have been given to me from beneath the Throne.
