حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، وَسُرَيْجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ سُرَيْجٌ: عَنْ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ هَارُونُ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ، ، أَبِي عَلِيٍّ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ شُفَيٍّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ: " {وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ} [الأنفال: ٦٠] أَلَا إِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ، أَلَا إِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ، أَلَا إِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) recite this verse on the pulpit: "And prepare against them whatever you are able of power," and then say: "Be aware! Power means archery." He said this sentence three times.
