حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ، قَالَا: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ أَبَا الْخَيْرِ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: نَذَرَتْ أُخْتِي (٣) أَنْ تَمْشِيَ، ، إِلَى بَيْتِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، فَأَمَرَتْنِي أَنْ أَسْتَفْتِيَ لَهَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَاسْتَفْتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: " لِتَمْشِ وَلْتَرْكَبْ " (١) قَالَ: " وَكَانَ أَبُو الْخَيْرِ لَا يُفَارِقُ عُقْبَةَ "،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Al-Khair (may Allah be pleased with him) that the sister of Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) had vowed to perform Hajj on foot. Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about this, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Instruct her to go riding.
