حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَيَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَأَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ، هُنَّ عِيدُنَا أَهْلَ الْإِسْلَامِ، وَهُنَّ أَيَّامُ أَكَلٍ وَشُرْبٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: The Day of Arafah, the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah (the day of sacrifice), and the days of Tashreeq are the days of Eid for us Muslims, and they are days of eating and drinking.
