حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ شِمَاسَةَ، يَقُولُ: أَتَيْنَا أَبَا الْخَيْرِ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّمَا النَّذْرُ يَمِينٌ، كَفَّارَتُهَا كَفَّارَةُ الْيَمِينِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: The expiation for a vow is the same as the expiation for an oath.
