حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَابِسٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ، أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ: " يَا ابْنَ عَابِسٍ، أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِأَفْضَلِ مَا تَعَوَّذَ بِهِ الْمُتَعَوِّذُونَ؟ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: بَلَى. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ هَاتَيْنِ السُّورَتَيْنِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Abas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) said to me, "O Ibn Abas! Shall I not tell you about the most excellent words of seeking refuge, with which those who seek refuge do so?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), why not?" He said, "They are two surahs: Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Naas."
