Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّجَاشِيِّ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ: " كُنَّا نُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ نَنْحَرُ الْجَزُورَ فَنُقَسِّمُهُ عَشَرَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ، ثُمَّ نَطْبُخُ، فَنَأْكُلُ لَحْمًا نَضِيجًا قَبْلَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ الْمَغْرِبَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to perform the Asr prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ), then slaughter a camel, divide it into ten parts, then cook it, and before the Maghrib prayer we would eat the cooked meat.
