حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بُشَيْرُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي حَارِثَةَ، أَنَّ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ، وَسَهْلَ بْنَ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ، حَدَّثَاهُ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ إِلَّا أَصْحَابَ الْعَرَايَا، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ أَذِنَ لَهُمْ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sahl bin Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade selling dates that are still on the trees in exchange for harvested dates, except that he permitted it (in less than five wasqs) for those in need.
