حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: بِالذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ؟ قَالَ: لَا. إِنَّمَا " نَهَى عَنْهُ بِبَعْضِ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا "، فَأَمَّا بِالذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ، فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade leasing land. I asked, “What if it is for gold and silver?” He replied, “No.” The Prophet (ﷺ) did not approve of leasing land in exchange for its produce, but there is no harm in leasing it for dirhams and dinars.
