English translation
It is narrated from a companion from Muzaina (may Allah be pleased with him) that his mother said to him, "Why do you not also go to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and ask as other people do?" So I set out to ask the Prophet (peace be upon him). I saw that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was standing and delivering a sermon and was saying: "Whoever seeks chastity, Allah grants him chastity; and whoever seeks self-sufficiency, Allah grants him self-sufficiency; and whoever, despite having an amount equal to five awqiyah of silver, goes around asking people, he asks with persistence." I thought in my heart about my she-camel, that it is better than five awqiyah, and my servant also has a she-camel, and that too is better than five awqiyah. So I returned and did not ask the Prophet (peace be upon him) about anything.
