Original Arabic
حَدِيثُ إِيَاسِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ (١) ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ١٧٢٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْمِنْهَالِ، سَمِعَ إِيَاسَ بْنَ عَبْدٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَا تَبِيعُوا الْمَاءَ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَاءِ (٢) " لَا يَدْرِي عَمْرٌو أَيَّ مَاءٍ هُوَ، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Iyas bin Abd (may Allah be pleased with him) that do not sell water in excess of need, for I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) forbidding the selling of excess water.
