حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ لِمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ، جَارِيَةٌ تَبِيعُ اللَّبَنَ، وَيَقْبِضُ الْمِقْدَامُ الثَّمَنَ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ أَتَبِيعُ اللَّبَنَ وَتَقْبِضُ الثَّمَنَ (٢) فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، وَمَا بَأْسٌ بِذَلِكَ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ لَا يَنْفَعُ فِيهِ إِلَّا الدِّينَارُ وَالدِّرْهَمُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam (may Allah be pleased with him) says that Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) had a slave girl who used to sell milk, and the money that was obtained, Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) would take. Someone said to him: Subhan Allah! She sells the milk and you take the money? He replied: Yes! So what is wrong in that? I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that a time will come upon the people in which nothing will benefit except dinar and dirham.
